Black Case Logic QHDC-101 Hard Drive CaseWhen I saw this item here I thought it looked ideal to give my drives even more protection, particularly when i am travelling. I decided to order just one to check the suitability etc before ordering more. It is a really high quality case, and fits the drive perfectly, and clearly will give great protection. HOWEVER: I did not realise when I ordered initially, but there is no space or provision in the case to carry the short USB 3.0 cable that comes with the the My Passport drive, so that cable must be carried separately. Inner side made up of Impact resistance material. Only downside is, no space for USB cable.Must buy for WD passport hdd owner. 1 of 1 people found the following review helpful A must buy to protect a ~�100 drive, By This review is from: Western Digital Nomad Rugged Case for My Passport Hard Drive (Accessory) Case came with internal rubber feet to fit 2 different sizes (thicknesses) of drive, a good (orange) seal to protect against splashes/rain and a pull out grommet, so that the drive can be used in the case.When you've spent about �100 on a drive, this is a nice addition to protect both the physical drive from dropping/water/scratches and to protect the data stored on it. It's well built, has a good clasp to close the shell and the addition if the grommet/bung (which remains attached, even when out) means that he drive doesn't have to be removed every time you need to connect it to a PC. To someone who transports their drive a lot - it's very useful. If you are buying this for at home, then take note that the drive may not stand a drop when in operation at all, in a protective case or not. |
