This review is from: Huawei Wi-Fi Repeater (Accessory) I have some black spots at home where WiFi is either non available or very weak, I tried every thing, you name it I tried it, most usits such as extenders give a different address, so you endup with 2 Wifi sources, and most of the time you get stuck with the weak one besides most were too complicated to connect. This simple appliance just boosts the signal you have, just press one botton and once its connected to your modem it works immdiately, its also very tidy and plugs in any power socket, so you can hide it anywhere in the house. Really fantastic, I now have full reception everywhere in the house and outside. Fantastic value for money. 2 of 2 people found the following review helpful By JohnS (Greater London) - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase( What is this?) This review is from: Huawei Wi-Fi Repeater (Accessory) This is a wonderful little device that's dramatically improved my wi-fi coverage throughout the house. It's very compact and unobtrusive. I couldn't get it to connect to my BT Homehub 3 using WPS, despite wasting a half hour trying to do so, but it was easy to do it wirelessly via my iPhone. I suspect the Homehub WPS is the problem, but it's no big deal. Once it's been set up you can unplug it and replug it anywhere you like and it will automatically connect to the router. I especially like the fact that your network SSID remains as a single name, unlike other repeaters that add an _EXT to the repeater SSID, which means you have to keep choosing your connection depending on where you are in the house. I've already told my friends that this is the one to buy! 1 of 1 people found the following review helpful By Amazon Verified Purchase( What is this?) This review is from: Huawei Wi-Fi Repeater (Accessory) We struggle with 3G mobile broadband, since getting a 3G wireless router positioned near the roof to get a decent signal the next challenge was to boost the wi-fi signal to parts of our home that has thick stone walls. We bought two of these at opposite ends of the house and now means we can use our technology freely without constraints. |
