I had searched for a while for the perfect case. To begin with all i wanted was a clear case to protect the back of my white iPad2 but as i live in Guernsey a lot of the ones I chose didn't deliver. So I widened my search and, after moans from my partner that the iPad is a pain to hold for long periods of time I searched for a stand/case combi. Then I found this one and what sold it to me was the fact that it rotates! It's amazing!! Very impressed with it. There are 3 slats for the iPad to fit into for both landscape and portrait. If your settings allow it, closing the cover ( and securing it with the band on the front if you want also) will shut down the screen. Very clever. And the best thing about it is - my partner has stopped moaning about holding it finally!! Would definitely recommend this item.

I purchased this case for my ipad2, because I wanted a case that covered the iPad completely to protect it, firstly this is a very smart looking case even though is not real leather, I should point out that you can obtain this case in leather if you wish to spend around �40, as I do not I went for this. I agree with the other reviewer that you cannot stand the iPad in the lowest position when in landscape but it will stand on the lowest position for the portrait mode , It certainly works a whole lot better than the cover which has been highly advertised by apple which I have. That case did not allow me to have the home button on the left, which was important to me as I am left handed.All in all this case is very good value for money. One star off for not standing in the lower position when in landscape.

I wanted 3 things - protection at the corners, a steeper viewing angle than 2 inches raised at the back, and my volume buttons accessible so they don't accidentally press (none of which I got from the "Smart Cover"). This does all 3 really well and looks real quality.
The viewing angles are unique and I wish other manufacturers would offer them. The rotation is nice but I only use it occasionally.
Yes, it does slip out of the grooves if you don't use it as advertised, and sometimes even if you are using it as shown - but it is a small price to pay for actually being able to use my iPad comfortably on the table, on the sofa, in bed and in the coffee shop!
