| 8 of 12 people found the following review helpful  Great Ubuntu laptop, This review is from: Asus X54C 15.6 inch laptop (Intel Pentium B960 2.2GHz, 4Gb RAM, 500Gb HDD, DVDRW, LAN, WLAN, Webcam, Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit) (Personal Computers) Bought this laptop for the missus and installed Ubuntu 11.10. Had to do some tweaking to get the suspend mode to work properly, but apart from that it works straight out of the box. Haven't tried it with Windows 7 yet. The design is simple yet elegant, the performance is good for normal usage, and the battery is not to bad either.If you are looking for an Ubuntu friendly laptop that is inexpensive and yet powerfull, the Asus X54c is a good choice. |
