Compared to other players with built in wifi this is well priced, quality is very very good. Setup was a breeze, including wifi setup thanks to having WPS support. After an update it has iPlayer support which works very well (including HD) but sadly does not have 4 on Demand or ITV Player as of yet (Demand 5 is on there too). Design of the player is nice, no display to speak off but has a very small profile, much smaller than the 380.Menu system is just like on the PS3 only slightly more sluggish. The small remote works well and it there is also an Android app that can be used as a remote, very useful for typing into the search box on iPlayer. The s390 has DLNA support and has played HD videos off my NAS without problem. The only downside to this is there is no DIVX support!! You may need to encode as XVID instead, this has knocked a star off for me. Haven't tried USB support yet, but I understand... To this end when I looked at replacing my old Sony PLAYER, I had a number of criteria in addition to the standard features (particularly with the growing availability of high speed broadband) that I was looking for.1. Wireless connection (without a dongle or other accessory) 2. The ability to stream media for other sources (ideally with DLNA) 3. A wide variety of online services (such as Netflix etc.) 4. A wide variety of supported formats (MPEG 2, MPEG 4, XviD etc.) The Sony ticked all of these boxed or so I though but after hours of the unit rebooting and having read (and like everyone I hate doing this) every page of the manual in detail and with a lot of playing about I found the following (despite updating to the latest firmware)... Read more 4 of 4 people found the following review helpful  Single day use, By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Sony BDPS390 Wi-Fi Blu Ray Disc Player (Electronics) Sony Blu ray player BDPS390; have just been using for a day so a little early perhaps but if there is any problem I will update this review, connected via hdmi v1.4 to Panasonic plasma TX-P42G30Internal wifi worked quickly on WPA2 802.11n network, downstairs from a small router in 2 bed semi, signal strength varies from 2-8Mbps with perhaps avg.5mbps on a 10mbit connection, seems to be a little slow loading intial apps or internet content but streams SD content very well, HD content streams with some pauses so will consider wiring into cable ethernet (HD content on wired tv streams well in comparison). DVDs look great, much better than normal, there is a little visual noise there but this is only when viewed up close. Also appears to upscale SD content streamed over LAN - compared to Panasonic TV inbuilt upscaling (v good) of same feature the Sony was sharper and looked livelier on same low def content.
